Dancing With The Stars Season 23 Cast Announced: Ryan Lochte, Amber Rose & More

The full cast was announced this AM on Goodmorning America and the contestants are Amber Rose, Ryan Lochtte, Jake T. Austin, Laurie Hernandez, Maureen McCormick, Terra Jole, Marilu Henner, Vanilla Ice, Calvin Johnson, Babyface, James Hinchcliffe, Rick Perry, and Jana Kramer. Of the contestants, it’s safe to say that the most shocking part of the announcement was seeing Ryan Lochte’s name following his scandal in Rio, but he did clarify saying that he had actually signed on to do the show prior to his incident so him being on the show is not out of publicity. Ryan explained himself saying QUOTE - "… the past 2 weeks have been the lowest point of my life…Fans, my family, my friends have all been really positive, keeping me going…I want to put that behind me. I'm never one to dwell on the past. I just want to move forward…Everyone's got to be sick and tired of hearing about this, I know I am. I just want to move forward and…put on my dancing shoes. At least try to.”
When speaking directly about the incident, Ryan said that he made a mistake and it’s something he’ll have to live with. Now Lochte may be a fish in the water but when it comes to dancing, the swimmer days that he can’t dance and that this will be a totally new experience for him, but he will treat it like going into the Olympics. So I don’t know about you guys but I’m banking on this being if anything, highly entertaining.
