標榜可監測用戶心跳及卡路里消秏的智能手錶日趨普及。《蘋果》委託中文大學為Apple Watch Sport及Samsung Gear Fit兩款智能手錶進行測試，其中Samsung手錶在大部份時間均與身體真實情況出現高逾5成的誤差；Apple的綜合結果雖較準確，但在監測卡路里消秏時有近7成誤差。學者解釋，智能手錶以錶底的光學感應器偵測心跳，運動時或因手錶移位影響結果。
