【本報訊】上月15日因食道癌去世、享年66歲的四屆香港足球先生胡國雄，昨在世界殯儀館設靈讓巿民公祭，多位體育界及演藝界人士到場，連同球迷有近千人送別一代球王。專程從泰國回港的前精工班主黃創山形容，與胡關係如兄弟，希望足總能為他辦紀念賽；而足總主席梁孔德透露，即將興建的將軍澳足球中心會設香港足球歷史博物館，並表揚胡的輝煌足球事業。
