联邦法院裁决《1948年煽动法令》符合宪法，引起马大学生不满。声援副教授阿兹米沙隆的学生认为，今天是大马人权运动中倒退而黑暗的一天。“我们以为阿兹米沙隆的案件可以成为人权运动向前的标杆裁决，很遗憾地我们错了。这证明了马克思说的，法律是统治阶层的工具来管制下层阶级。”
