【本報訊】休班交通警員提款時拾遺不報，取走一名女子遺下的8,000元現金，被控盜竊罪。休班警不認罪受審，暫委裁判官林希維昨裁決指被告解釋牽強，與邏輯背道而馳，認為他不誠實，裁定他罪成。惟林官又指類似案件一般只判罰款，法庭不能因被告是警員而提高罰則，終只判被告罰款15,000元了事，另須歸還涉款給事主。
