【本報訊】港人出門必備的八達通卡已面世18年，八達通公司昨宣佈，因應2003年前發行的第一代八達通卡已用長時間，及未能對應網上支付等服務，決定為200萬張首代租用版八達通免費換卡。持卡人可到指定港鐵站換新卡，餘額及門禁保安系統等服務資料會自動轉移。八達通公司指換卡過程有系統保障資料安全，市民可選擇是否換卡。
