全國人大常委計劃將《國歌法》納入全國性法律，並適用於港澳地區。身兼港區人大代表的立法會議員田北辰在電台節目中一再指國歌法「魔鬼在細節」當中，認為唱國歌時不專心、普通話發音有問題，都不等於不尊重國歌，質疑政府到時如何執法，類似的細節應事前釐清。
