前首相兼希望联盟总裁马哈迪直捣首相纳吉选区北根，更在演讲时呼吁垦殖民别再支持纳吉。
马哈迪说，“虽然过去垦殖民支持巫统，但我想如果垦殖民已经知道他们的遭遇比平常人更糟，我相信垦殖民不会再力挺巫统”。
马哈迪呼吁垦殖民支持他，与他共同进退。
“如果我都已经离开了，你也离开吧，干嘛还要和他们为伍呢？”
