团结党在这次的补选中，除了对手巫统，也连带打击伊斯兰党，频频攻击伊党违背伊教及诚信问题。团结党主席慕尤丁在“伊党不支持巫统”的课题上直言伊党不断撒谎。
慕尤丁昨晚在士毛月演讲时说，“我相信我们的首相没撒谎，谁撒谎了？现在大家知道伊党是爱撒谎的政党。他已经把撒谎变成‘符合伊斯兰教义’，符合伊斯兰的。”
