36歲男子疑受抑鬱症困擾，昨午在港鐵東鐵綫大學站月台，致電妻子稱：「我想死」，其間一列車埋站，他縱身跳軌，被車頭猛撞再捲入車底，消防及救護員到場證實事主已傷重死亡。事件令東鐵綫服務受阻近1小時，來往火炭與大埔墟站暫停服務，乘客需改乘港鐵接駁巴士。
