随着新政府上台，将近2万名政治委任的官员的饭碗将会不保。首相马哈迪在印尼透露，要把这些政委官换成具备真正专业能力的人士。
马哈迪说，“我们发现他们被委任，并不是因为商业或管理能力，而是因为他们支持政党。他们并不能干，但获得很高薪酬。”
“我们最终发现，他们管理的项目都失败了，不能赚钱。所以我们要换成专业人士，而不是政党人士，以便能专业行事。”
