【本報訊】屹立沙田新城市廣場約20年的馬莎百貨（Marks& Spencer），去年11月初不獲續租結業，其4樓舖位一直盛傳會改租予蘋果公司開全港第5間Apple Store。有網民近日發現，該舖位外的圍板已換上蘋果公司標誌，如傳言屬實該店將會是新界第一間Apple Store。
香港彈丸之地，將有5間Apple Store，與面積更大的上海、北京差不多。其實，新城市廣場馬莎去年結業時已有居民不滿，埋怨越來越少與民生更相關的店舖。新城市廣場所屬的新鴻基地產查詢暫未回應。
