针对国内媒体包括龙头“首要媒体”相继大裁员后，财长林冠英透露他上个星期已经与多家报章媒体老板会面，并以不裁员为前提向媒体公司开出免税条件。
林冠英是在今早于隆雪华堂出席记者会上提到星洲日报以及星报是其中有出席的媒体之一。
“会谈中，我说给他们免税，但我们要他们保证尽可能不要裁员。”
财长表示即便与一些媒体立场有嫌隙，但仍希望可以就事论事，“我们不要看到任何人失业。”
