马华总会长魏家祥周四在记者会上被追问马华会不会争取在丹绒比艾这个传统议席上阵时。魏家祥回应，这问题根本不需要问。
魏家祥强调，候选人的问题将带到国阵10月初最高理事会的特别会议做集体决定。
魏家祥还嘱咐中文媒体引述他的话，“有人愿意出征，有政党或某方面认为他们应该出来，这是司空见惯的事。最重要，我们来自什么组织？政治联盟，这是我们多年来建立关系的一大考验。”
“我们相信今天，国阵一路走来秉持着一些可贵的价值，在这个过程中，有人会说一些话要这个要那个，这个是见惯不怪的，但是一旦中央或者是国阵最高领导人做了决定，大家能全力备战才是最可贵的。”
“所以不要大惊小怪，最重要的是我们知道我们在做什么，我们跟着程序跑。”
