行动党秘书长林冠英召开记者会，否认大马首富郭鹤年曾资助行动党，并斥责巫统攻击90岁高龄的郭鹤年。
林冠英表示，“巫统却利用此事来攻击郭鹤年。你要欺负行动党和林冠英，那是习以为常，但以此攻击郭鹤年，90岁老人，这就太过份了！”
林冠英警告巫统别玩弄危险而极端的种族政治游戏，避免引起针对华社和华商的情绪。
