最近有報道指出，英超平均薪酬冠絕全球足球聯賽，比次席的德甲還要高6成。但高薪厚祿並不代表換來好成績，經過4輪歐聯分組賽，德甲及西甲已經有球隊率先出線，但貴為「歐洲最高水準聯賽」的英超，4支參賽球隊未見提早出線，曼城及利物浦更陷於出局邊緣。說歐聯展現「英超盛世」？好像有點out。
