伊党副主席莫哈末阿玛透露，已故新加坡总理李光耀在2009年访问吉兰丹时，对已故伊党精神领袖聂阿兹的执政理念非常赞赏。
莫哈末阿玛还笑言，如果李光耀在吉兰丹常住，可能会投票给伊党，或是加入伊斯兰党支持者大会堂(DHPP)。
