【本報訊】海洋公園早前關閉熊貓展館兩日，為兩隻大熊貓盈盈和樂樂製造交配「良辰」。其間牠們曾四度嘗試交配，可惜均未能成功完成。為此海洋公園為盈盈進行三次人工授精，如成功受孕，最快可會於8月出現懷孕迹象。
海洋公園請來卧龍中國保護大熊貓研究中心兩位熊貓專家，參與盈盈和樂樂的繁殖工作，並在3月31日起關閉「大熊貓之旅」展館兩天，讓牠們可安靜地「培養感情」。
