香港的佔領行動吸引了各地傳媒來港採訪，其中包括國際知名戰地女記者Paula Bronstein，她前晚在採訪旺角警民衝突期間，因站上一輛私家車車頭上拍攝，被警員以涉嫌刑事毀壞罪名拘捕，扣查3小時才准保釋候查。她坦言「採訪30年以來，今次是首次因採訪被捕」，對被捕感到驚訝和震驚。外國記者協會則譴責香港警方，指是踐踏記者採訪權利。

「我覺得不應該被拘捕﹗」Paula Bronstein昨凌晨獲准以現金300元保釋候查後，立即趕回旺角採訪，她解釋前晚是因為人多而被迫站上高處拍攝，當時並不知道自己站上一部平治跑車的車頭上，她說：「所有問題其實都可以靠溝通解決，不知為何要拘捕我。」
