獅子山近獅頭山頂，昨發生遊人崖邊自拍墮山慘死的罕見竟外。一名男子霧中登山遠足，在山頂沒有圍欄的崖邊持手機與獅子頭自拍（selfie）時，疑崖邊濕滑跣腳，失足直墮150米下亂石堆。有目擊者稱，當時聽到事主慘叫聲，見他一度緊握崖邊雜草欲爬回路面，可惜雜草被扯斷，目送他直墮而下。消防員事後尋獲事主，但證實他已傷重死亡；屍體晚上由消防員抬落山移送殮房。
