「想練大隻舉鐵一定要夠重」、「你練咁耐都仲係舉咁輕,不練也罷」,市民不時在健身室聽到以上對話。聖雅各福群會永嘉諾健體中心經理陳國雄表示,要練大隻不是要舉最重的啞鈴,或做最重的負重訓練。要鍛煉增大肌肉體積,負重訓練研究指出,應去選擇一個能承受6至8下的重量,並以3至4組的訓練形式去練習,才是最理想的練大隻方法。鍛煉後需要給予肌肉48至72小時休息,才能健康生長。
