瑪嘉烈醫院4年前有病人疑因延誤治療致死，患血癌的士司機因細菌感染發燒，到伊利沙伯醫院求醫，後被轉介到瑪嘉烈醫院，卻一直未獲注射抗生素，最終死於敗血病。死因庭去年5月應家屬要求召開研訊，昨恢復聆訊。如非有八重失誤，專家證人指死者原可避免死亡，但他進入公共醫療系統4小時42分也得不到適當治療，發生一連串不應出現的事故。遺孀在庭外表示心情仍未平復。
