【本報訊】延誤至少一年的沙中綫可能成為廣深港高鐵大白象翻版，工程最終可能超支200億元，令造價上升至近1,000億元，將是本港歷來最昂貴鐵路。港鐵解釋，由於土瓜灣及會展站工程都出現阻滯，令成本顯著上升，到明年下半年才計算到確實超支數目。由於沙中綫是由政府全資建造，200億元最後可能由納稅人埋單。
