虽然公共服务局为削减政府开销而冻结15个部门聘请公务员，但行动党议员刘镇东认为，政府不该牺牲教育和医疗，而应先砍掉首相署70亿令吉的“协调资金”，因为这笔钱只要首相签字就可使用，而且没有名目或说明用处。
