【本報訊】位於新葵興廣場的中式酒家茗苑宴會廳，其一碟售價88元的鮑魚福建炒飯，去年8月海關放蛇檢取樣本化驗後，發現無鮑魚，負責人在警誡下承認以螺肉頂替鮑魚。茗苑的經營公司昨承認違反《商品說明條例》，求情指是為了「慳皮」，被判罰款5,000元。店長接受訪問時，稱是廚師偷懶不去水缸撈新鮮鮑魚，私自改用「螺鮑片」，聲言已解僱廚師。
