【本報訊】發生行山客墮崖喪命的鳳羽壁，是一幅近乎垂直逾百米高的黑色絕壁。有超過30年行山經驗的資深山友黃先生亦戲稱難度為5星級的鳳羽壁，屬「6星級」，大部份石壁斜度達80度，是近乎垂直的絕壁，石面亦缺乏落腳點，令人望而生畏。不過，由於不少山友認為克服鳳羽壁成功感很大，故挑戰者不絕。
