From all of Cardi B’s on-stage moments to Asahd Khaled taking the spotlight away from his dad to the premiere of Taylor Swift’s latest music video, Delicate, there was not a single boring moment at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards. And here our ten best moments to prove it.
Kicking off our list is Cardi B who had one hell of a performance and we weren’t the only ones who thought so. As Cardi sang her way through her radio hits on stage, Marshmello was caught on camera getting lit to ‘Bodak Yellow.’
And speaking of Cardi B, we can’t forget about her AMAZING acceptance speech when she got up on stage to collect her award for Best New Artist.
In Cardi’s speech, she thanked everyone from her team, to her family, friends, her fans, basically everyone who contributed to her success – even her haters and that’s pretty much what made us all love her even more.
Can’t blame Cardi for giving her haters a shout out because they did help her get all the way to that number one spot!
Near the beginning of the show, DJ Khaled was going around the VIP area making sure everyone was being treated nicely. And when it came time to introduce Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Eve…he needed a little help and grabbed the nearest PA/producer for assistance.
Thank God that guy knew how to say Jenna’s whole name because it could’ve gotten super awkward.
We all know the iHeartRadio Music Awards is a show that’s mainly about awarding music’s biggest stars and hits of the year, but the people behind the award show couldn’t help but include and nominate some of the industry’s cutest pets for the Cutest Musician’s Pet award.
Although it was a pretty tough competition between four dogs, a cat, and a pet pig, Ariana Grande’s fur baby Toulouse managed to take home the award.
I’m sure Toulouse and Ariana are celebrating his big win in the best way possible.
The night wasn’t just about music. Some of music’s biggest stars reminded viewers about the tragic Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that happened almost a month ago.
In the middle of the show, right before Eminem took the stage, Big Sean took a moment to introduce a survivor named Alex who let everyone know that students around the country will continue to make sure politicians hear their voices.
