Kicking off his fourth year hosting the Golden Globes with an ice cold glass of liquid confidence in hand, Ricky Gervais amped up the awkward and cringe-worthy jabs from the get-go, but he made it pretty clear that he gives ZERO… you know what’s.

So maybe it was the beer talking, or maybe Ricky was just real hangry, because we all know hunger never quits and can sometimes throw us off our game… But speaking of hunger, we came up with a fun little way to satisfy it and make tonight even more interesting. If you listen carefully, you might even pick up a few of our own ‘Clevver’ word combos.
So for example, Ricky’s began his opening monologue acting slightly “bloopy” (that’s using bad judgement mixed with being a little loopy) when he demanded full attention (literally) with a kind and welcoming introduction, saying, “SHUT UP you disgusting pill-popping sexual deviant scum.” He then promised the audience that he’s going to be much nicer than past years hosting, and that he’s ‘changed’, but he didn’t exactly do a great job of proving that statement…
That awkward moment when you don’t know whether to laugh or to attempt a straight face… He also mentioned Jennifer Lawrence’s essay about equal pay among men and women, making it clear that he is getting paid just as much money as Amy Poehler and Tina Fey… together. But I could go on about Ricky, so let’s move on to the next OMG moment. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill (AKA the bear from the Revenant) presented the first award, when the bear thanked his costar Leonard and Channing completely forgot his envelope at his table… yeah real good start to the Globes!
Moving right along to other presenters who seemed a tad bit confused, and totally foolish in the best way possible… AKA insanely “confoolished.” Amber Heard and Jamie Alexander presented the award for best actor in a limited series, when they gave the teleprompter dude a total dirty call out…
And while we’re on the subject of EPIC Golden Globe presenters, may I introduce to you the two peas in a pod, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer who strutted their stuff ONSTAGE. TOGETHER. And it’s everything you ever thought it would be. Jen mentioned that being women in Hollywood, people have a lot of preconceived notions about them…
