Visitors to the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Fahrenheit 88 shopping malls will be dazzled by the spectacular display of giant lanterns lighting up several areas in the mall.
The lanterns of various shapes and sizes were put up in conjunction with the sixth 1Malaysia Lantern Tourism Festival 2014.
A total of 200 giant lanterns will be on display, featuring designs of mosques,ketupat, animals – such as panda and wild horses – and legendary characters.
This year’s festival is the biggest ever, taking place in both Pavilion and Fahrenheit 88 with 12 lantern zones that occupy Pavilion’s outdoor spaces, fountain area and the sixth floor.
As for Fahrenheit 88, which is across the street from Pavilion, the lanterns will be on display at its concourse area.
The Taiwan Tourism Board has brought in master craftsmen to share their knowledge in the art of making giant lanterns.
The lanterns are on display till 12 Oct, 2014.
