Local government development minister Nga Kor Ming has revealed that 2093 illegal waste sites have been closed in the past year.
Nga told reporters at a press conference today, that the cost of clearing the sites reached RM1.6 million.
He added that 15 cases have been brought to court with fines amounting to RM168,000.
