Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh said that since the publication of The Star’s article titled “A sex predator is in the house” on July 29, some 38 victims had come forward to report incidences of harassment by the hospital’s head of department. Although Ramkarpal’s motion on the issue was rejected by the Dewan Rakyat Speaker on Wednesday, he still harbours hopes that a law will be enacted to deal with such cases.
