You may remember a time back in the day or for some of you maybe it was yesterday when you were minding your own business and out of nowhere a friend yelled, “The floor is lava!”
If you want to keep your life, you have five seconds to get the heck up off the ground and onto higher ground. Yeah yeah there’s no actual lava, but the details aren’t important. Just like the Mannequin and Get Out challenges, the floor is lava is the latest craze sweeping the internet. Videos made by Kevin Freshwater and Jahannah James taking on the challenge is a crowd favorite.
Some of your favorite celebs have also jumped on the bangwagon, or off the ground I should say, and taken a crack at the challenge. Liam Payne took it to new heights with boomerang!
But when you don’t have a fancy app that makes it look like your suspended in the air, by resort, you can use people as your protection. This dude used his mom.
Even Wonder Woman took a stab at the challenge, but it didn’t exactly go as planned.
The floor is lava challenge has also evolved into a meme simply called “the floor is” where the floor becomes anything you’re trying to avoid or something that is unobtainable. Like this one where a guy tweeted – “The floor is recognizing you’re wrong and apologizing” and this is apparently all women:

Camila Cabello told it like it is, tweeting one that we can all relate to saying QUOTE – “the floor is 8 hours of sleep.” Pretty Little Liars, actor Keegan Allen used the meme trend in reference to Caleb’s storyline with Hanna on the show tweeting – “The floor is Hanna” with Caleb taking it all in
