Another week, another crop of absolutely FREAKY moments from American Horror Story: Freak Show.
Yes, Wednesday’s episode was part two of the Edward Mordrake (More-drake) slash Halloween saga, and the ghostly freak took someone with him to the other side – but WHO?!
Well, you’ve come to the right place because we’re discussing the latest episode and breaking down five of the CRAZIEST, most WTF moments. And yes, there will be spoilers ahead.
OK, so first and foremost, we need to talk about how ELSA GOT HER LEGS SAWED OFF. Yes, Edward Mordrake was haunting the freak show on all Hallow’s eve and getting everyone to spill their back story to see who has the most shameful tale and who is a pure freak, and Elsa’s is a doozy. Elsa told Edward about how she used to work in the fetish world and was basically a dominatrix, and that’s putting it very lightly. And in her desperate attempt to become famous AND make money, she was drugged and filmed as someone sawed off her legs. You can’t make this up, people.
And speaking of back stories, we got a peek at Twisty’s and that’s where number two comes in. Now, obviously we don’t condone Twisty’s murderous ways, but how he came to be that way is actually really sad. The basic jist is that he was a star clown working for a carnival, and he was basically bullied by the freaks that were also part of the traveling troop, and they even accused him of being a child predator. This obviously led him down a dark path, and he even tried to kill himself – but that didn’t really work out for him, hence the face mask. His shameful past deemed him being worth of “the one” and Edward Mordrake invited him to join the freak show on the other side, by stabbing him to death.
Only a Ryan Murphy show could make you cheer for a murder, and happy that he got a happy ending.
However, we have a sneaking suspicion there is going to be a new murder clown in town sooner rather than later. Coming in at number three, we have when Dandy comes across Twisty’s dead body, and puts on his mask.
Yeah, talk about FREAKY.
Um, and it looks like our premonition came true because Dandy KILLED HIS MAID, and that nabs the number four spot.
And last but certainly not least we’re going to give a shout out to the flashback of when Elsa was a dominatrix, and made some guy sit on a toilet seat with rusty nails all over it. And we’re not even going to SHOW IT TO YOU, because it was that disturbing. Oh Ryan Murphy, what will you think of next?
