We’re breaking down the 7 hottest Coachella Trends for 2017, right here on News Feed!
Coachella 2017 is upon us, which means it’s time to check out this year’s top trends for those who’ve got festival fashion fever…
First up, Mermaid crowns are about to be the new “Flower Crowns”, because these incredibly elaborate and crazy fun designs are guaranteed to have heads turning and compliments flowing--and plus, who doesn’t want to look like a mermaid?! This trend is certified festival GOLD.
Another hot trend making its way to the desert this year is real floral eye makeup. Thanks to artists like @hollifer and Fantastic Beauty, eye makeup designs using REAL flowers have taken Instagram by storm. This unique look get you in the spring spirit AND help you stand out in the crowd--which is obviously super important when you’re surrounded by thousands of fellow festival fashionistas.
And when it comes to taking your highlighter game to the next level, Negative Space makeup has you covered. The Negative Space technique uses makeup-free areas, which can be lines, stars or any other fun shape, that pop out against the surrounding shadow to create a glamorous and unique look. If you’re handy with your brushes and eye pencils, this look is definitely one to try!
Another makeup trend we suspect we’ll be seeing a lot of at Coachella this year is holographic makeup. The prismatic colors of this look will catch those SoCal rays just right, making you glow like the ethereal festival goddess you are!
Next up, if you’re feeling nostalgic for the flower crown trend but aren’t feeling the mermaid crown vibes, then you’ll be thrilled to hear that there’s another, slightly more simple twist on this classic festival trend: Succulent crowns! And unlike those flimsy flower crowns, succulent crowns are sturdy enough to last those long days of festival activities--so go ahead and mosh your heart out!--Safely, of course!
Another trend that’s going to bring some extra sparkle to the music festival is glitter lips, which have been popular for a while, but are so fun and flirty that they were basically designed for Coachella. We’ve seen stars like Shay Mitchell and Taylor Swift previously rock the glitter lips look, and we’re expecting many more celebs and festival-goers to follow suit, mostly because of the one Coachella cardinal rule: There’s no such thing as too much glitter.
And last but not least, we’re predicting that face stamps are going to be all the rage at Coachella 2017, and Milk Makeup’s got this super cute trend covered with five fun shapes, including a peace sign, a heart, a star, a yin and yang symbol, and a smiley face. We’re definitely feeling some throwback Woodstock vibes with this trend, and we’re 100% on board with that.
I’m your host Ashley Iaconetti thanks so much for tuning in.
