74岁高龄的前选委会主席阿都拉昔表示，他不排除自己会在来届大选代表团结党上阵，并对自己的胜算充满信心。他认为，相比前首相马哈迪91岁，自己依然还很年轻。此外，他也认为自己过往的知识及经验，可善用于对抗现在的政府及对国家做出贡献。
