受傷男童姓甘（8歲），昨晨11時許，他隨父親及胞弟在大埔單車舖租單車遊玩，三父子一人一部單車，甘童沿汀角路踏單車至布心排村對開失控自炒向左翻側，頭部着地受傷一度昏迷，甘父報警。
