LORD HAVE MERCY ON ALL OF THE SOULS THAT RIP-ed in Tokyo last night for the opening show of Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour and we’re breaking down every unforgettable moment right meow!
Yeah, that was only a small preview of the insanity that went down in Tokyo, Japan last night as Taylor took to the stage to sing her brand new hits from her 1989 album to a crowd of 55,000 fans. So for all of you who are attempting to wait it out until you see her on tour and be completely surprised, I’m not even sorry because I’m bout to bring you all 9 of the best moments from her opening tour, so let’s get started!
First off, when the 55,000 fans entered the arena and got to their seats, they were pleased to find a bracelet on each of their seats. You may or may not have seen these before, but throughout the show, the bracelets all lit up in a synchronized effect, leaving everyone, including Taylor, feeling completely breathless Props, lighting crew!
Next up, Taylor’s outfit changes throughout the show are everything. She started off the way she started off her album, singing Welcome To New York in a glittery blazer, black cut out crop top and a purple skirt. And then I had to actually call 911 because I just couldn’t handle the seriously sexy leather outfit and thigh high boots and black garters she changed into later on… Yeah the entire arena stopped breathing for a sec. And I should also mention that she probably saved a lot of money on her outfits because they literally look recycled from her past concerts with more skin showing, but hey, I’m not complaining one bit.
Coming in at number 3, you know those bonus tracks Taylor always adds to her albums but she generally never sings during her shows, like ever? Yeah, in comes the 1989 world tour where anything could happen and she included 2 out of the 3 bonus tracks on the set list:...
