The Home Ministry has granted a 90-day grace period for the people to register births and deaths after the movement control order (MCO) is lifted, said Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Ismail said the Home Ministry made this decision due to people being unable to register births of newborn babies or deaths due to restrictions on movement during the MCO.
“Registration of births and deaths could not be done due to the MCO. So KDN (Home Ministry) made the decision to extend the period (to register the births and deaths) to 90 days after the MCO is lifted.
