Acid Attack Survivors: Beauty Salon Owner Helps Rehabilitate Victims

MOST people associate beauty parlours with the quest for flawless perfection. But Pakistani entrepreneur Mussarat Misbah is using her chain of salons to help rehabilitate the female survivors of acid attacks. Misbah is the founder of the Depilex Smile Again Foundation - the charity she set up after an encounter with a disfigured victim in 2003. The Foundation helps survivors with medical and psychological care, but also enables them to become self-reliant members of the community by offering them skills training.
