The Yang di Pertuan Agong calls on all quarters to respect the voters’ decision.
"The people are asked to be patient, and accept the decision of the people, the elected representatives, and myself.
"We have to be rational, we have to move on.
"Let me make a decision soon," he tells the media gathered outside the palace.
His Majesty - who was returning to the palace after a quick outing - says he has not had a chance to see if any side has proved they had a majority.
The monarch also says he can't assure if there will be a swearing-in ceremony today.
