We’re breaking down the first official trailer for Marvel’s Captain Marvel.
You had us with that first poster, so yes, we’re definitely 1000% SOLD now that the very first Captain Marvel trailer has arrived.
The trailer for the MCU’s next film introduces us to Captain Marvel, who’s real name is Carol Danvers. We know she’ll already be equipped with her Captain Marvel superpowers, but we’re sure to find out a whole lot more about how Carol Danvers became Captain Marvel, which can already be seen in the trailer. At the very start of the epic trailer, Captain Marvel is returning to Earth via a crash landing, but just her entrance alone is incredible because of where it takes place.

That’s right… she crashes into a Blockbuster and that alone makes me a little emotional, not gonna lie.
From there, Danvers is noticeably lost in this not so brand new world, having no recollection of her former life as a pilot for the US Air Force. From there, a familiar voice is heard saying QUOTE”War is a universal language. I know a renegade soldier when I see one. It never occurred to me that one might come from above.” It’s Nick Fury, of course. And we have goosebumps… of course.
The two then come face to face, which is the beginning of a friendship that now, years later, will mean so much to the fate of the MCU.
But first, Danvers is faced with piecing together the vague memories of her life on Earth as she explains in the trailer QUOTE “I see flashes. I think I had a life here. But I can’t tell if it’s real.”
Surely it will all become very real as Carol Danvers is reunited with her past while preparing for war. And of course Marvel was gonna give us a good preview of what we can expect when Danvers suits up and Captain Marvel takes over. Spoiler alert: she’s a badass.

The trailer also gave us a glimpse at Jude Law’s Mar Vell, who we know will be a crucial character in Captain Marvel’s story, and a familiar face, Agent Coulson, is also in this one, which is super exciting. Obviously the movie is set in the 90’s so it makes sense for Fury and Coulson to be together and that also makes me a little emotional, not gonna lie.
