Amanah today submitted a memorandum seeking the consent of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah as chairperson of the National Council of Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI) to investigate 'religious extremists'.

The memorandum was submitted by the party's mobilisation bureau director Sany Hamzan and Shah Alam MP Azli Yusof to an official from Istana Alam Shah.
