It took 22 bank officers three days to count 35 bags of cash seized from a vacant luxury unit linked to former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, Commercial Crimes Department director Amar Singh revealed.
He said out of the 72 bags seized 35 contained cash in 26 currencies and the total amount of cash was RM114 million.
The value of the remaining 37 bags, which contained jewellery and watches, have yet to be ascertained.
As for the 284 handbags, Amar said all the items would be photographed and sent to Paris to be authenticated by the maker of the brand.
