Chants of “Reformasi” and “Turun Anwar” were heard in front of the prime minister’s official residence in Putrajaya today as some 150 protesters rallied to voice their dissatisfaction towards the government.

Clad in black attires, the participants of “Rakyat Lawan Anwar” demonstration began their protest about 5pm today with chants demanding the prime minister to address a number of issues they say are affecting the rakyat.

They were led by a line-up of speakers, including social media influencers and political activists including former PKR leader Chegubard, lawyer Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali, Tun Faisal, singer Dayangku Intan, and TikTok famous activist who dubbed himself YB Viral.

Among their demands are to reduce the price of diesel, allow targeted Employees Provident Fund (EPF) withdrawals, ensure that the healthcare system is taken care of, tackle the rising cost of living and give equal allocations to all MPs.
