The convenience store chain 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd has named PKR president Anwar Ibrahim’s former political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak as its new chairperson.

According to a Bernama report citing the company’s filings with Bursa Malaysia, he replaces Robin Tan Yeong Ching.

Tan, who is the son of the Berjaya Group’s tycoon Vincent Tan, was appointed as 7-Eleven Malaysia’s chairperson on Nov 25, 2021.
