Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has arrived in Doha, Qatar, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

The two-day official visit is at the gracious invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Upon arrival in Doha, the Malaysian delegation was warmly received by Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

During this official visit, various engagements are scheduled, including participation in the Qatar Economic Forum and the official launch of the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) campus in Doha.

Additionally, a public lecture at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, a roundtable discussion with Qatar's industry leaders, and an evening meeting with the Malaysian community in Qatar are on the agenda.
