Anwar: Funny that 'frogs' backed anti-hopping law

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim today took potshots at MPs who backed the bill aimed at discouraging parliamentarians from switching parties, despite the latter having done so.

In a short video on his social media, Anwar also criticised those who collaborated with defectors.

"Last night, we had 209 MPs (supporting the bill). This includes Pakatan Harapan MPs, who have always been consistent.

"(Others included) those who were in cahoots with the 'frogs' who jumped, who also supported the bill. This is funny yet comforting," he said.
