Anwar: I'll leave it to state leaderships to begin seat negotiations

The preparation of parties within the Unity Government to face the upcoming elections in six states such as seat negotiations and candidacies as well as campaign strategies will be decided on soon, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

However, he said for states that were dominated by certain coalitions such as Pakatan Harapan (PH) in Selangor and Penang, negotiations on the distribution of seats should be initiated by the respective state leaderships before being brought to the central leadership for further deliberations.

Anwar said this after a coalition-government parties’ meeting last night.
