Anwar: Tun Razak built Felda, Najib destroyed it

Pakatan Harapan chief Anwar Ibrahim admitted that former prime minister Abdul Razak Hussein helped the poor by providing them with opportunities through Felda.

However, Anwar said, Najib Abdul Razak destoyed it by introducing programmes that would cost Felda billions of ringgit.

Anwar said this at a ceramah in Kota Iskandar on Wednesday night, featuring other top Harapan leaders.

Yesterday, Najib refuted the accusation that he destroyed Felda during his time leading the government and said that he would not do such a thing to his father's legacy.

During Najib’s era from 2009 to 2018, the management of Felda was tainted by a string of abuses.

The mismanagements sent FGV’s share price tanking, from more than RM5 a share in mid-2012 to close at RM1.85 as of Monday.
