Around 3,000 high-risk slope areas identified, 'BigBen' activated, says Ahmad Maslan

Deputy Works Minister Ahmad Maslan said a total of 3,200 slopes out of 27,000 slopes have been identified as locations at risk of landslides.

He said this was why the Works Minister had ordered for the activation of the Disaster Operations Room (BigBen or Bilik Gerakan Bencana) under the Public Works Department a few days ago.

He added that they will work around the clock to ensure that there is an early warning system (EWS) in place.
